What do you like best about this course?:

This course was difficult but the structure of the recitations and the material Alexi went over. helped clear up several questions I had from lecture.

I liked going to recitation because she really explained and simplified the topics we were learning better than the lecturer.

I like how recitation and lecture are very well organized.

Alexi was extremely encouraging and explained all the material well enough for me to understand the topics fully

Understand material a lot better

Best TA ever

The instructor was always very prepared, responded to questions well, assigned grades fairly, and seemed genuinely interested in both the course material as well as helping the students understand the material.

Helpful

Alexi was great at breaking down the concepts we learned the past week! I really enjoyed the way we started with warmups then moved into the more involved problems. As a student who needs a good foundation in order to understand the rest of the material, I think Alexi did a great job of reiterating the important concepts.

Alexi was always upbeat and energetic. It helped me get excited about the otherwise dry course.

Extremely helpful teacher

Very dedicated to helping students learn, and effective. Not afraid to help revisit basics

Alexi's teaching style encourages learning and facilitates understanding of complicated concepts. Her desire to want to know each student on an individual basis also encourages students to want to work harder to excel in the course.

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

Nothing!

I would make the quizzes more like the exam questions.

Nothing

nothing

Nothing

I only wish there was more time for recitation! I would have liked to have more time to go over individual homework problems while still including everything Alexi went over.

The students were not very talkative, though that cannot be blamed on the instructor. Also test prep was not specific enough; e.g. exam questions were extremely difficult in comparison to the rest of the course (or maybe I'm not a good test taker).

Not much else

Not a thing.

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

Alexi is one of the best TA's I have had. She is helpful and takes extra time to help you understand the material. She is also very comprehensible and clear.

She creates a very organized lesson plan that covers everything we need to know for the quizzes. She also explains everything carefully and clearly which is not an easy thing to do. She is also genuinely excited about math and she is interested in making us understand the topics.

Learned the small details of everything

Idk

Alexi was able to explain the conceptual side of Multivariable calculus, and I feel that this year was the first time I really tried to understand the meaning behind all the functions and equations we were using.

Alexi presented the material well, allow me to properly get a better grasp on course material, filling in where lectures left off.

Other comments or suggestions::

She is the best TA I've had. She taught me more calculus than the professor. She's is also very sweet.

Best TA Ever!!! You are perfect. I'm impressed that you can remember all of our names in two weeks. I feel lucky to be a student in your section

Very friendly teacher assistant, very smart

I know it's not the most constructive feedback, but I honestly have nothing that I think she should change in the way she teaches. Thanks, Alexi, for taking the time to plan well-thought-out recitations and for always answering our questions!

I enjoyed the course's instruction immensely. Now if only I could pass the course.... Those were some tough exams.

Nope.
