What do you like best about this course?:
Alexi was the nicest TA ever.
She was able to answers and review questions very well and hit on all the important points of the problems
Alexi was really good at reviewing the concepts in a basic manner.
I liked learning more about math that had real life applications to my potential major and job.
I liked how friendly and open to questions the instructor was. I also think she taught the material in a clear and methodical way that really helped me better understand the course.
Alexi makes the material very simple to understand and helps make the most seemingly complicated problem seem very simple.
Great recitations, learned a lot
I really liked how organized the recitations were. I felt like everything I needed to know was recapped nicely, which really aided the learning experience.
I really like Alexi, she was the best calc TA I've had at Rutgers so far. Hopefully I can have her again for a different math course.
If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:
Nothing, she taught exceptionally.
Just speed up the examples a little bit, definitely don't fly through them but maybe just a little bit faster
I would not do anything differently.
I would have taught at a bit of a faster pace to keep the class engaged.
Review more problems similar to the exams.
I would really like the quizzes to be harder, actually. I felt like they lulled me into a false sense of security for the exams. They exams were much harder than the homework and the quizzes, so having the quizzes be harder would prepare me better for the exams.
I would allow students to solve answers on the board to help encourage student participation.
In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:
Alexi always had a positive attitude and made math more engaging.
She was able to communicate how the formulas worked very well so it was less like memorizing them and more like understanding how and why they worked
She has helped me to conceptualize it more.
Encourage me to keep learning more math and to continue my engineering major.
The instructor encouraged me to ask questions in class.
It has made me want to push myself to learn the course even through it's difficulty for me.
Always made sure our questions were answered
This is the second time I have taken calc 3 and she had made things a lot easier to understand. I wish I had her the first time I took the course.
Other comments or suggestions::
Make her a professor. She is an amazing teacher.
Alexi is wonderful and taught me a lot
Absolutely loved Alexi as our TA because she cared and made the course easier for us, or me at least.
I really like Alexi. She is so nice and always willing to help.
